Virender Sehwag married Aarti Ahlawat in April 2004, then DDCA Chairman and Union Minister of India, Arun Jaitley organized a much-awaited wedding ceremony at his residence.
Both were blessed with two children named Aryaveer in 2007 and Vedanta in 2010. Moreover, it was his father’s dream to open a school where students could pursue their studies along with sports and Sehwag made this dream come true by inaugurating his Sehwag International School in Jhajjar Haryana.
After his magnificent triple century, Sehwag was allotted land for the same by the Haryana government.
Facing controversies, Sehwag was suspended by the ICC for appealing in the second Test match against South Africa and it was the same match that led to further controversy in the same regard.
