Shane Warne Biography
Shane Warne net worth in 2020 $ 50 million.Shane Warne full name is Shane Keith Warne Shane Warne born on 13 September 1969 in Upper Ferntree Gully, Australia. He is an Australian cricket commentator and former international cricketer who captained the Australian national team in One Day International.
Shane Warne was a right-handed leg break bowler. A Renaissance man, Shane Warne led a new life in the leg spin bowling style that was dying, making it an integral part of the game.
He was the leading wicket-taker (708) in Test cricket until December 2007, when the throne was gutted by another all-time veteran Muttiah Muralitharan.
He has been nominated twice for the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanac and has also twice been selected as the Wisden Leading Cricketer in the world.
Warne entered cricket relatively late in his teens, and his relaxed manner, bleached hair, stud earrings, and surfing fondness made him a folk hero among young cricket fans around the world.
He played just seven matches in the Sheffield Shield domestic club competition before being selected for Australia and made his Test debut against India in Sydney in 1991–92. In the 1993 Ashes series against England, Shane Warne took 34 wickets in six Tests at an average of 25.80.
He was probably recalled for a ball while bowling England’s Mike Gatting at Old Trafford in Manchester in the 1993 series.
The ball was a perfect example of the leg-spinner’s art, pitching on the leg stump and hitting the off-stump of Gating while batting viciously. This was Shane Warne’s first ball in a Test in England and was a major psychological advantage for Warne and the Australian team, which went on to the next Ashes series in 1994–95.
Warne took 27 wickets in 20.33 in that series, including 8 wickets for 71 runs in the second innings of the first Test and a hat-trick (three wickets from three balls) in the second Test.
