Phil grabbed the 2013-14 Baltimore Prep Player of the Year and was also the first-team All-Catholic League selection. He also made the record for most points at his high school.

As soon as Phil came out of high school, Phil joined Villanova during the 2014-15 season and was all set to give his best potential for the team, Villanova Wildcats.

As a freshman, he managed to grab the Philadelphia Big Five rookie of the year at the end of the season. This clearly states that he instantly showed off his talent.

By the time Phil stepped into his sophomore year, he had impeccably made his mark for the 2015-16 season. He notched a team-high 20 points in the National Championship Game.

He hit two free throws with 35 seconds left in the game and also scored 7.0 points per game that season.

Phil fractured his right hand in a play against Providence Friars Men’s Basketball Team on January 23, 2018.

This Maryland native made a comeback on February 21 when his squad won against DePaul Blue Demons men’s basketball, a 93-62 victory. He scored 14 points off the bench.

Phil averaged 18.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game moving onto his senior year.

Phil also teamed up with Eric Paschall to guide their younger teammates. Villanova coach Jay Wright also spoke few good words in his favor.

Championships and Awards

Phil went undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft and joined the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2019 NBA Summer League.

Following, he agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Washington Wizards on July 26, 2019, but was waived soon. The same year, he also grabbed Robert V. Geasey Trophy.

He had a small handful of team names that he worked hard for, such as Lakers, Pistons, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, Hawks, Mavericks, Pacers, Celtics, Knicks, and Sixers.

All in, Phil was waiting for a team to give him just one shot to prove himself. He also followed all the advice, which was alerted by his coaches and former teammates.

Coach Jay Wright always demanded so much of him. According to Booth, “Wright pushes you to the best -layer you can be, not just offensively but defensively.”

Phil was appointed to the roster of the Capital City Go-Go. He was placed against Fort Wayne Mad Ants on January 4, 2020, which turned out to be a loss, unfortunately, but he scored 22 points and four rebounds.

On February 16, 2021, the Blues acquired Phil Booth, addressing him from the G League player pool.
