Early Cricket Career

Dhoni 1998 began his professional cricket career to play for the Bihar local team, Central Coal Fields Limited. During that time, he was still studying in his 12th class.

He impressive his manager, Deval Sahay who selected him to play in the CCL team. After that, Dhoni was selected to the junior Bihar cricket team and senior Bihar Ranji Team in 1999.
