England have won the second T20 match played against Pakistan in Manchester by 5 wickets. With this, England took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Playing first Pakistan scored 195 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. In response, England lost 199 for 5 runs on the first ball of the twentieth over and won the match.

Captain Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman gave the Pakistan team an excellent start to bat first after losing the toss. Both added 72 runs for the first wicket. Fakhar Zaman was then dismissed for 36 runs off 22 balls.

From here, Mohammad Hafeez took the front and added 40 runs for the second wicket with Babar Azam. Babar Azam was dismissed for 56 runs in 44 balls.

Johnny Bairstow (44 runs, 24 balls) and Tom Benton (20) batted brilliantly for England. Together, they added 66 runs for the first wicket. After this, the English team got in trouble due to the wickets of both the opener batsmen falling on this score.

After this, captain Eoin Morgan and David Malan added 112 runs for the third wicket while batting stormy. Morgan was out for 66 off 33 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes. David Malan (54 *) remained at one end. He scored an unbeaten half-century to help England win by 5 wickets in the twentieth over. Shadab Khan got 3 and Haris Rauf got 2 wickets.
