But the marathon organizers told him to enter another ultramarathon before he could join Badwater Ultramarathon for fundraising.
On his first ultramarathon event held at Hospitality Point in San Diego, David made an impressive run of 101 miles in only 19 hours and 6 minutes.
Goggins also compete in the Las Vegas Marathon and completed it before the time ends which lead him to the qualification in Boston Marathon.
On his Badwater marathon, David finished in 5th position overall. Following three months, David took part in Badwater Ultramarathon in 2006 and completed in second place with a 320-mile race of three days.
